How to Get Lumber in Pokémon Pokopia — Chop Specialty Guide
Lumber is one of the most important crafting materials in Pokopia. Learn how to get Small Logs, find Chop Pokémon like Scyther, and convert logs into Lumber fast.

Step 1: Befriend Scyther
To start getting Lumber, you first need Scyther. Build a Tree-shaded Tall Grass habitat by placing four pieces of tall grass near a tree in a 2x2 pattern. Wait for Scyther to appear and talk to it.
Step 2: Learn Cut
Once Scyther arrives, a yellow speech bubble appears. Talk to it and bring 2 Sturdy Sticks. Scyther will teach you the Cut transformation for Ditto, which lets you chop down trees and log piles to obtain Small Logs.
Step 3: Convert Small Logs to Lumber
Bring Small Logs to any Pokémon with the Chop Specialty — for every 1 Small Log, you get 5 pieces of Lumber. You can give up to 10 logs at once for 50 Lumber. Chop Pokémon include Scyther, Scizor, Pinsir, Heracross, Excadrill, Axew, Fraxure, Haxorus, Crobat, Farfetch'd, and Dartrix.
Green, healthy trees yield more Small Logs than withered ones, so water the land and restore nature for better harvests.
