About Pokémon Pokopia

It's time to settle in and savor the slow life now that Pokémon Pokopia has launched on Nintendo Switch 2. In this life simulation game, you play as a Ditto that has transformed to look like a human. The world in which you begin is surprisingly desolate, but with dedication, you'll be able to rebuild it into a charming utopia. During your adventure, you'll collect materials and craft items to create a cozy home for yourself and make a welcoming environment for lots of Pokémon friends.
Play the First Pokémon Pokopia Limited-Time Event

In addition to the game's main story, there will also be special limited-time in-game events in Pokémon Pokopia. The first of these, "More Spores for Hoppip," will run from Monday, March 9, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. to Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 12:59 p.m. PDT.
During the event period, you'll be able to befriend the Hoppip, the Cottonweed Pokémon. Special cotton spores that can be collected will also appear during this time. Once you've gathered some, they can be exchanged for picnic-themed furniture items. By using these items to create habitats, you'll be able to befriend Skiploom and Jumpluff, too.
These Pokémon can't be encountered outside of this event, so don't miss out on this opportunity to welcome these new friends to your towns. Please note that this event will only be available in towns with a rebuilt Pokémon Center, and it will not be available on Cloud Islands.
Get a Ditto Rug
There's a bonus awaiting players who begin their Pokémon Pokopia journey early. You can get an in-game Ditto rug that can be used to decorate one of the houses you build by choosing Get via Internet from the Mystery Gifts menu in your game until Sunday, January 31, 2027.
Be aware that it takes approximately 30 minutes of play time before you're able to access the Mystery Gifts menu. The gift is available in both the physical (game-key card) and digital versions of Pokémon Pokopia.

Playing as a Ditto pretending to be human is the most creative Pokémon concept in years. 89 on Metacritic is well deserved.
This game is basically Animal Crossing meets Dragon Quest Builders meets Pokémon. I can't put it down.
